Eugene Schoneman was born May 22, 1938 at Rock Rapids, Iowa, the son of Fred and Anna (Jurrens) Schoneman. He was raised in Little Rock, Iowa and graduated from the Little Rock High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, most of that time was in Germany. He worked for the Adams Ranch for 12 years, then moved back to Little Rock, Iowa where he worked at the city cemetery. He worked 21 years for Exopack, and Union Camp.

Eugene loved doing yard work, and liked his lilac bushes.

Being in ill health, he became a resident of the Country View Manor in Sibley, Iowa for the last two weeks. He passed away there on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the age of 69.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother Dennis and wife Linda Schoneman of Ashton, Iowa; one sister-in-law Doris Schoneman of Sibley, Iowa; six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George.
