Phyllis I. Peters

Phyllis was united in marriage to Weldon E. Peters on March 6, 1941 on the farm in the Hillery Krull home. To this union two children were born. Phyllis lived her entire life in George.
As a member of Central Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School, Young People’s Group, was Sunday School superintendent, and Women’s Missionary Society. She was a life-long member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was a volunteer at Dinner Date, meals on wheels, and a member of birthday club.
Phyllis enjoyed crocheting and doing many crafts, especially making ceramic Christmas items for her children.
Phyllis entered the George Good Samaritan Center in February 2006, after a fall in her home. She passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2008, reaching the age of 87 years.
Phyllis leaves to cherish fond memories her daughter, Lee Holden of LaMirada, California, her son, Milt Peters of Ruthven, Iowa, four grandchildren, Shaw (Monica) Holden, Matt (Arte) Holden, Michelle (Todd) Borton, and Joe Peters, three great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many loving nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Leona Kruger, and other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon, her parents, Hillery and Minnie Krull, six brothers, Edward, George, Fred, Ernie, Bill, and Virgil, two sisters, Alice and Harriet and son-in-law, Bill Holden.
